President's Message

Dear SEGM Members, Stakeholders, and Fellow Travelers,

We set out on this journey with the conviction that a sustainable future requires not only environmental, but also social, educational, ethical, and governance-based transformation and with each passing day, SEGM advances with an ever clearer vision.

Our association sees it as a fundamental responsibility to bring together the agendas of Sustainable Development, climate policy, and global transformation with the power of youth and the transformative impact of learning. In line with this, through our programs centered on youth, learning, and equal opportunity, we aim to create fair and inclusive spaces where individuals can realize their full potential.

At the heart of SEGM's work lies a commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) and a deep respect for human rights. We believe that the sustainability of both institutions and society is only possible through ethical, inclusive, and equitable systems. For this reason, ethics, good governance, and institutional excellence serve as the common ground for all of our training, advisory, and partnership activities.

Through the collaborations we develop at both national and international levels, we build multi-stakeholder impact ecosystems spanning academia, the private sector, the public sector, and civil society. At the same time, strengthening the sustainability profession ecosystem in Turkey and our region, expanding the pool of qualified professionals in this field, and contributing to the advancement of professional standards are among our strategic priorities.

At SEGM, we care not only about generating knowledge, but about transforming that knowledge into social impact. To this end, through our work focused on social impact and social entrepreneurship, we support the capacity of individuals and institutions to develop sustainable solutions. Because we know that lasting transformation is made possible through sustainable learning, an ethical mindset, and the will to act together.

I sincerely thank all our stakeholders who share this vision with us and who contribute with their effort, knowledge, and dedication. For a more just, more conscious, and more sustainable future, we will continue to learn together, create together, and make an impact together under the roof of SEGM.
